The Idea Can has a slightly new look to it now.
Those of you that have been stopping in to read my inane blabbering regularly may have noticed that I recently picked up advertising through Project Wonderful. Because of this, I realized that I needed to design some of my own ads to be able to post them on other Project Wonderful publisher's sites. This of course snowballed into the internal query, "Why not redesign my header and then modify it to be used for ads?"
A few hours later and quite a bit of cursing at Adobe Illustrator for the repetitious "Can't Save The Illustration" errors brought on by some new fonts I installed on my computer, I had the following image (click on it to see the full size version).
With the general concept completed, I now needed to modify it to fit within the 975 pixels by 115 pixels dimensions allowed by the layout I'm using for the site. This resulted in the spiffy new banner visible at the top of the page. Once that was done, I needed some ads.
If you would like to share The Idea Can on your website, blog, webcomic, Facebook profile, MySpace page, forum, or anywhere else on the internet that you like to share links, here's a few different banners, buttons, and badges to use. There's no need to save the image to your computer unless you'd like to upload it to your own server. Just copy the HTML code beneath whatever image you'd like to use and paste it into wherever you're sharing the link.
If you decide to use any of the images on your site, feel free to post a comment below with the web address where the link is posted. I'm always fascinated to see what websites are sharing my ideas with the rest of the world.
